Israel Ports Company: China Harbor's Pan Mediterranean Engineering Company wins the tender to construct Ashdod's Southport Project.Project to cost approximately NIS 3.3 billion

The Israel Ports Company has announced today that China Harbor's Pan Mediterranean Engineering Company (PMEC) won the tender to construct the Southport Terminal in Ashdod.

The works include quay construction, extension of the existing breakwater by 600 m,  a new 1500 meters secondary breakwaters and reclamation and dredging works.

Three companies and groups submitted bids for the works: Pan Mediterranean Engineering Company which is affiliated with China Harbour Engineering; a joint venture lead by Shafir Engineering and Ashtromfrom Israel,
and a third group – Ludreco Company together with Solel Boneh ( part of the Sikun and Binui Group ).
